Caren Chepleting's journey as a long-distance runner began naturally on the rolling hills of Kenya's Rift Valley. Like many before her, she discovered her talent while running the long distances to school each day, developing the foundation that would later become her passion. Today, Caren trains in Kaptagat, a renowned training hub nestled in the high-altitude region, where she shares the roads with some of Kenya's most dedicated distance runners. Her focus remains steadfast on the 10km, half marathon, and marathon distances on Kenya's competitive local road racing circuit.
Known among her training partners for her quiet determination and consistent work ethic, Caren approaches each training session with purpose and humility.
